Симбионистская армия освобождения
Небольшая радикально-террористическая группа из Сан-Франциско, состоявшая в основном из молодых людей из среднего класса. Группа была ответвлением движения контркультуры [counterculture]. В 1973 совершила убийство инспектора школ г. Окленда М. Фостера [Foster, Marcus], в 1974 похитила дочь известного газетного магната [Hearst, William Randolph] Патрицию Херст [Hearst, Patricia], которая позднее присоединилась к группе и приняла участие в ее преступных акциях. Шестеро членов группы были убиты в 1974 в перестрелке с полицией. Большая часть оставшихся была захвачена полицией в ходе поисков П. Херст. Сама Патриция была приговорена к трем годам тюремного заключения
